If you are running aftermarket knuckles that already have the provision for dual caliper brackets (like our knuckles) then you don't need this bracket and it can be de-selected. The brackets only space the hub out 8mm and do not require any modifications to fit and also allow the use of the drum e-brake. The GKTECH 350z bolt on dual caliper brackets feature CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminium and allow the use of Brembo calipers or the non Brembo calipers. Made in-house in Australia using stainless steel fittings and using stainless steel braided line with a PTFE outer these lines are made specifically to suit Nissan S/R chassis' and even include the P clips to locate the line throughout your vehicle.ĭual caliper brackets: Weld in or bolt on? The base can be used on G35's but the optional support brace will not fit. Note that our inside trim e-brake support base additional brace will not fit G35's. More info on the brackets can be seen here: Outside trim = mounts outside the center console itself, no modifications required to the trim when used on either the left and right-hand side. Inside trim = mounts inside/within the center console itself, this will require trimming to the center console for the levrer. We have made 2 different postition variants in addition to LHD or RHD specific. Our chassis specific e-brake mounts are designed to ensure that our e-brake assembly can be fitted in an optimal position without the need to cut or drill into your transmission tunnel. For non Brembo calipers our recommendation is 5/8" and for the Brembo calipers we recommend the 3/4". This beautifully crafted CNC machined aluminium lever has been designed with ergonomics in mind whilst being aesthetically pleasing. Self explanatory, this is the e-brake assembly that houses the lever and master cylinder. This kit has everything you need to set up a dual caliper hydro e-brake in your car, just BYO calipers. If you want to avoid wasting time shopping around for all the individual parts, getting custom brake lines made up or running generic parts that may or may not work then we suggest having a look at our complete hydraulic e-brake kit. No, I just want my car to look good for that sunset picture I'm planning of my car for my sweet signature.Nobody likes wasting time setting up a hydraulic e-brake kit! I did NOT know that slotted rotors provide less friction. I suppose one could argue that I should have just searched the internet more rather than posting here in hopes of sensible discussion.ģ. Do research before you dismiss and flame. Hydraulic hand brakes are quite widespread on both rally and drift builds. A larger rotor/4 piston calipers would be needed to provide any benefitġ. Can you provide more info? Less surface area = less friction. There are also safety reasons for buying mini-vans and taking buses.ģ. You are absolutely right about there being a reason behind having the ebrake on a different set of cables for safety reasons. I suppose one could argue that I should have just searched the internet more rather than posting here in hopes of sensible discussion. this passes for help now? I really wish you (the collective people from the internet) would get your head out of memes and realize that dead horses don't need to be stomped.ġ. Please let me know what you have tried and whether it has worked or not, as well as your thoughtful input on the ideas I suggested (or ask for clarification if it seems too kooky). I think it would be cool to do this set up with just the regular handbrake handle (in order not to change the interior too much) while putting in some sort of a plunger system that the handle will push instead of pulling the cables. So essentially, your hand brake becomes hydraulic opposed to being pulled by cables. The second idea is that I've heard of people tapping straight into the actual back brake lines and using a different handbrake handle. My concern is that it won't really help the e-brake too much, can anyone who's tried this tell me if it made a lot of difference? I see some on ebay for about $80, so it would be a fairly cheap, easy solution. Number one thought is to get drilled and slotted rotors. I have a couple of ideas on how to fix this, but I was wondering if anyone can provide some input. It'll stop the car, but not lock the back wheels. I don't know about everyone else, but my hand brake won't lock the back wheels if I'm moving. I searched around and couldn't find anything on this.
